As a newbie nail polish fanatic, I’m pretty much on a reading binge of all the great nailpolish blogs out there. So when I saw Neglelakkmani’s numerous excellent konadicures, I was floored. I just had to find out more about this cool form of nail art.
I figured out that the technique is kalled Konad stamping nail art, that it involves image plates, a scraper, a stamper and special nail polishes for stamping. And it’s awesome. After checking out this informative video on konading, I was convinced that this was easy enough even for a newbie like me.
I headed over to OC Nail Art and ordered a C kit. It contains two image plates (m2 and m3), a stamper, a scraper, and red, white and blue konad nail polishes. Just minutes after the kit dumped into my mail box, I was konading. It’s really that simple!
Here are some of my newbie konadicures. This first one is done with Bourjois dark purple over Gosh Wild Lilac. Oh, yeah, you don’t even have to use the special nail polish. Just try out your other nail polishes, some are quite great for konading.
This is a grey shimmer with white special polish.
Here’s an experiment with a double stamp. The base color is China Glaze Harmony, and I’ve used both Maybelline Tornado Rose and the dark purple Bourjois polish for stamping. The result is quite cute, a little bit too cute for my taste, actually.

Love the purple one…..its a great base color for the blach. Actually, it’s soo creamy, it may even work with the Konad??? great job, newbie or not!
Thanks! The print on the lilac creme is actually a blackened purple! The Bourjois polishes are great for konading. Haven’t tried the Gosh, though, thanks for the tip.
Hey nice work!!! I love it!
Thanks, Kathleen!
Konad rocks!
WOW! I fell in love with your Gosh konadicure. It’s perfect and so cute!
Thank you, nihrida!
I love all that you’ve done! Very pretty. I bougth a kit and haven’t used it yet. The Gosh Wild Lilac is a beautiful color on you. For a newbie you did really well.
You have to try it, it’s so much fun. : )
