China Glaze Fly (and some wish list blabber)

Hi guys! I’m sorry about the lack of posts here lately, but I’ve been battling a nasty cold this weekend, so manicures weren’t my first priority! And believe it or not, we’ve had a really big rainstorm over Qatar this weekend, so no sunlight for nail pics either!

Well, now I’m feeling a little better, and the sun is out, so I thought I’d cheer myself up with a fun mani. I chose China Glaze Fly from the Kicks Collection. It’s a purpleish pink with pink microglitter, it kinda reminds me of Color Club Ultraviolet, but CCUV has a pinker base and heavier blue flash.

I love this color, it’s fun and happy and summery. Check it out in sunlight and shade!

Application was ok, I used two coats and got good coverage. I think this one, like a lot of my “old” polishes, could benefit from a few drops of thinner. Does anyone know if nail polish thickens when you bring them on a plane? Well anyway, it was a bit thick, but not too thick. It levels out beautifully.

Usually when I do a post, I check out what other bloggers have said about the polish before me. When I looked at the Kicks collection again, I totally regret not getting more colors from this one! How gorgeous is Custom Kicks, for instance? That goes straight to my nail polish wish list, which is getting longer by the day… ;)

What’s your nail polish wish list like? :)

  1. what a gorgeous gorgeous color! its so fun and bright and summery it cheers you up when you look at it, doesn’t it? exactly what I needed since I’m home fighting a nasty sore throat / coughing bout too >.<
My wishlist is virtually non-existent, I've really lucky and have been able to get most of the polishes I was longing for though I'm sure if I paid a little visit on some e-tailers' websites it would probably rise again from its ashes!

    • Oh, hope you feel better soon! It seems like it’s the season for colds. :)

My wishlist is looong, and I can’t shop online until summer next year! Well, at least I have something to look forward to. :)

  2. Mmm til å spise opp. Enda en sukkertøy-lakk! :D
