Studio M Slamming Red
Just a quick post to show you my latest mani, before I’m going back to work tonight. This is Studio M Slamming Red, a deep, blueish red completely jam packed with large holographic glitter. And when I say packed I mean packed. The holo effect is super stunning, it almost looks 3D when you’re looking at it under sunlight or bright indoors light. In low light, the red glitter stands out most, so it’s still gorgeously glittery even though it’s not holo all the time.
Slamming Red is very pigmented, and I think you could get away with one coat. I did two coats to see if it made a difference, but it’s really not necessary. The formula is good, but the brush is awful. I don’t know if my bottle was a dud, but the brush was slanted! It was really hard to get a clean line by the cuticle because of the wonky brush.
This dries very matte and super gritty on its own, so be prepared to go balls to the walls with the topcoat. I kid you not, this is six coats of topcoat in these pics, and it’s still not completely smooth.
So in conclusion, you have to put a little work into wearing Slamming Red, but the payoff is definitely worth it! I also have the purple and silver holo from Studio M, and I definitely know what I’ll be wearing this New Year’s Eve! These babies are fireworks all by themselves.
Thank you for reading!
Love, S.

Wowser – that is hot, hot, hot! Are Studio M a European brand?
No, I think it’s from USA.
Gorgeous! But 6 (!) top coats! I can’t get over that
No, this must be some kind of record!
this is sooo beautiful! i can’t believe it took 6 coats of topcoats O_O woooeee crazy?! but still awesome
Definitely awesome, but I don’t think I’ll wear it that often! Haha!
I need to get this brand, its a USA brand common in the mid west, and the south..I need to grab this on my next trip
:)
6 coats? Which top coat brand did you use?
I actually did this over 2 days. On the first day I added 2 coats of Barielle Manicure Extender and one coat of Poshé, the next day 2 new coats of BME and 1 coat of Poshé.
Oerhört läcker!
Enig! Jeg gleder meg til å prøve den sølvfargede!
Amazing
) It looks great on you! This has been on my wishlist for ages… but I never saw it on ebay.
Thank you! I don’t think it will be too hard to find someone to swap this with at Makeupalley (which is where I got it).
