China Glaze IDK
I hadn’t really planned on changing my mani today, but the weather is so nice and sunny that I just had to put on one of my untried holos. I chose China Glaze IDK from the OMG Collection.
IDK is a lilac linear holo, very cute! Most linear holos are super dull, matte and boring when seen without holo-promoting light, but the base color of IDK is nice enough in and of itself that it doesn’t get too ugly when I’m indoors. Of course, in the sun, it’s absolutely, mind-blowingly awesome.
This polish is a little bit runny, so it’s easy to flood the cuticles when applying. Just be sure to wipe the brush well before painting, and it will be very manageable. I should have used another basecoat like GOSH Fix Base Coat instead of my CND Stickey, because the first coat dragged a bit. It’s opaque in 2-3 coats.

Ja, IDK är snygg. Lite trist inne är den nog i mina ögon men ganska okej alla fall. Det var verkligen en grym kollektion, annat kan man inte säga.
Jeg foretrekker helst Kaleidoscopes, synes de ser bra ut både med og uten lys, men OMG-kolleksjonen er virkelig helt stunning i sola! Da får man bare leve med at de er kjedelige innendørs, synes jeg.

Yes, you really have to dig around or pay $$$ to get proper holos these days.

Älskar det lacket… men det går bara att lägga ett lager av det på nageln, lägger du fler lager så blir det inte alls bra. Är detta något som är vanligt för alla hololack?

Hehe, nei, jeg hadde nå heller ikke planlagt å skifte mann den dagen!
Slike holo som denne og Make Up Store-holoene er ganske vanskelig å legge, som du har erfart. Derfor lønner det seg å bruke en underlakk som er spesielt laget for å bruke under holo. Nfu-Oh Aqua Base eller GOSH Fix Base Coat er noen slike underlakker, og så er det viktig å la underlakken tørke godt før man begynner med holoen. Jentene på MakeupAlley sier også at det går an å bruke en matt overlakk som underlakk for holo, men det har jeg ikke prøvd selv.
