Ozotic Pro Eclipse (505)

Chic and dusty greiges are well and all, but after the muted Groovy Grey I needed something with a bit more punch. And what’s better than the multicrome shimmer Ozotic Pro Eclipse when it comes to color overload?

Here’s an actual transcription of the conversation between me (S)  and my husband (R) while I was polishing my nails:

S: ALL THE COLORS!!!
R: You have too many polishes and can’t decide what color to wear?
S: No, this is a polish that has all the colors in one!
R: Wow!

Duo- and multichrome polishes are never easy to photograph, and while these pics show a lot of colors, I didn’t manage to capture all the colors. For instance, the amazing teal and emerald green flash turned out blue instead. It was so hard to pick just a few pictures of this, so prepare for epic picspam!

Eclipse is very sheer on its own, so it needs to be layered over black to allow the amazing multichrome to appear. Shown here is two coats of Eclipse over two coats of GOSH Nero. The formula of Eclipse is very nice and easy to apply, but I was a little eager while painting and laid it on too thick, so I got some bubbles. Just keep the coats thin, and I think you’ll be fine.

I just love this polish, and it’s also super amazing to use for nail polish jewelry. You can buy Ozotics from Picture Polish at AUD 14.95 a piece.

GOSH Groovy Grey

This weekend I picked up GOSH Groovy Grey while in town, and Sunniva said she wanted to see it on the nails. Of course I comply!

Groovy Grey is not completely grey, but instead it’s something in between grey and beige. Some people call this color greige, and it’s a sort of putty-like grey. I like it very much, it’s a nice and neutral creme. This color is part of a special edition of some sorts, but unfortunately I don’t know anything about it.

The formula is quite good, it’s opaque in 1 coat! I did 2 though, because I feel a little bit naked with just one coat. The brush gave me some trouble, it had a wonky hair and it was hard to control.

I just have one other light gray polish in my stash, so this is a quick and easy comparison. Here you can see how beige GG really is.

This reminds me a lot of OPI Skull and Glossbones from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Does anyone have both to compare?

H&M I’m Not A Kiwi

H&M are starting to get a rather large selection of gorgeous nail polish, and one of the polishes I picked up there this weekend was H&M I’m Not A Kiwi. This is a vibrant, but not neon, lime green. I’m thinking this is pretty similar to OPI Fiercely Fiona, but I don’t own that one to compare.

The formula is very nice, and it’s smooth and opaque in two coats. I really like the brush, it makes the polishing really easy, but the handle is short and chunky and may be a little awkward to hold.

As I said, I think this is pretty similar to Fiercely Fiona, but I only have Who The Shrek Are You to compare. From this bottle pic you can see that Kiwi is a bit more yellow than Shrek.

What do you think of these kind of strange, yellow-green colors? I’m starting to like these weird colors more and more.

Mitt lille land

My little country
A little place, a handful of peace
thrown out among mountain plateau and fjords

My little country
Where high mountains are planted
among houses, people and words
Where silence and dreams grow
Like an echo in barren earth

My little country
Where the sea pats mild and soft
like it’s caressing from coast to coast

My little country
Where stars glide by
and becomes landscapes when it gets lighter
while the night stands there – bleak and silent

My little country
A little place, a handful of peace
thrown out among mountain plateau and fjords

My little country
Where high mountains are planted
among houses, people and words
Where silence and dreams grow
Like an echo in barren earth

Kleancolor Golden Nightmare

After the pink and sparkly overdose yesterday, I needed something completely different. Kleancolor Golden Nightmare fits the bill perfectly, with its black base speckled with gold glitter. It may not be a very summery mani, but I love it anyway. I think my nails look incredibly chic!

The formula on this polish is freakin fantastic, it’s a dream to apply (not like a nightmare, lol). Literally no need for cleanup! It’s very pigmented, so if you have short nails, you’ll get away with one coat. I used two coats here. It dries a bit gritty and matte, but is smooth with two coats of topcoat.

I only have one color that’s similar to Golden Nightmare, and that’s China Glaze Wagon Trail. They are just variations on a theme, both have black bases, but while Golden Nightmare has gold glitter, Wagon Trail has gold shimmer.

Instant love with Kleancolor Golden Nightmare! If they’re all this good, I need to get some more. I don’t even mind the foonkay smell…
