China Glaze It’s Alive
China Glaze It’s Alive is a polish from China Glaze’s 2011 Halloween Collection, Haunting. Along with this one, this collection consists of the polishes Haunting (black with silver glitter), Crimson (purple creme), Near Dark (dark green creme), Ghoulish Glow (glow in the dark topcoat) and Black Mesh (black crackle top coat).
In my opinion, It’s Alive is the only color worth getting from this set, so obviously this is the only one I got! But it’s a totally awesome polish to boot, with a mossy green jelly base and big and small irregular shaped glitter. You might ask if it’s a dupe for last year’s Zombie Zest, but as The PolishAholic shows, it’s not.
The glitter isn’t the only thing that’s chunky in this polish, the formula was pretty thick as well. It’s opaque in two coats, and it is a really thirsty glitter, for sure! I’ve fed it a thick coat of Barielle Manicure Extender and also Seche Vite, but it drank it all up.
Despite all that, I still love this polish. It’s so uglyawesome (I’m stealing your word, Niki!) and sparkly, definitely one of my favorites from this fall’s collections.
Have you bought any Halloween polishes yet?
