After all that bling, I needed something soothing and palate cleansing, so what could be better than Zoya Kelly from the Wicked & Wonderful collection? This dark, blue-grey creme is so chic and beautiful, I love it.
The formula is nice, although slightly on the runny side. It’s very pigmented, so I only needed two thin coats for full coverage. I really like the brush, it’s small, but not too small, and it fans out very easily and isn’t too stiff or too floppy.
Some of you might remember my franken Grace, which I thought would be a close dupe for Kelly. It turns out it’s not, Grace is lighter and more purple than Kelly. I found a closer dupe in China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, Kelly is just slightly more blue-leaning, while CC is straight-up grey.
I don’t have a lot of Zoyas, because I have this weird idea that I can’t “start” a brand unless I plan having a lot of polishes from them. I’ve resisted Zoya for the longest time, but I just can’t keep them out of my stash any more. Zoya has a lot of gorgeous colors, and they’ve shown time after time that they are real nail polish trendsetters (Charla and Faye, anyone?). So this weekend I made my first big Zoya order, I can’t wait for them to arrive!
What do you think of Zoya polishes?
