Cirque Tibetan Nights

Another new brand today, a handmade brand called Cirque. Let’s see what the creator says about it:

Cirque is an artisanal line of hand-blended nail polish made in New York.  The name Cirque, meaning ring or circle, represents the color wheel and the endless color possibilities in the continuum.  Creator, Annie Pham, sought to develop colors that transcend those of conventional brands by experimenting with unique pigments and raw materials.  The debut collection, Dark Horse, is a 12-color arrangement that is diverse in its hues and finishes — similar to the creative energy that abounds New York.

I heard about Cirque from seeing beautiful swatches on other blogs, and a little while ago I made my first order. The two polishes I ordered arrived super fast, and when I saw the stunning Cirque Tibetan Nights, I just had to put it on right away. I fell in love with it immediately, it’s so gorgeous and unique, completely breathtaking! It has a deep blue jelly base with tiny silver glitter and bar glitter. I love it so much that there’s need for a little picspam!

The formula was excellent, I had no problems applying this at all. I needed three coats for a deep, rich, even coverage. The polish itself dries a bit matte, so you’ll need a topcoat to get that squishy jelly look.

Now this is technically an indie brand, but there’s nothing about it that screams “homemade”. The bottles, labels and branding all looks super professional and worthy of a high-end designer brand. And the bottles even arrived in tiny individual black organza bags! Amazing.

Cirque laquers can be bought at their website, or at the Hester Street Fair if you’re in New York. The price is from $12 to $16 a bottle. If you can’t tell, I’m very impressed with everything about this brand, and I can’t wait to see what the next collection will be.
