I’m sorry that this post is so late, but when I got to V in the alphabet, I was faced with the same dilemma as earlier, I didn’t have an untried polish starting with V. So instead of doing a rerun of Zoya Valerie, I decided to do a random spam post, or a “Variety Pack” as it were. Since I had to wear and swatch a bunch of stuff for this post, it took a little while longer, but I hope it’s worth waiting for!
I won’t say much about these polishes, I’ll just let the pictures do most of the talking. Enjoy!

I fell in love with H&M Peppermint Fusion after seeing Lacquerized’s beautiful pics, and I was so happy when my friend asked me to join her when she was going to the city last week. City means big malls which means H&M, and luckily I got my grubby paws on this periwinkle beauty.
Peppermint Fusion is a periwinkle blue with ice blue shimmer, very pretty and unique. The shimmer is of the shy, “hidden” type, but when it peeks out, it’s beautiful. If this had the label Chanel instead of H&M, I’m sure it would be sold out everywhere.
The formula is really nice, the polish is kinda thick, but not gummy or gluey thick. It’s almost creamy, if you know what I mean. Incredibly easy to apply, and it’s opaque in three thin coats.
Because of the blue shimmer, I don’t have any dupes of H&M Peppermint Fusion, but I thought it would be interesting to see how the base color compares to some other periwinkles I have. Here’s a comparison with Orly Snowcone and China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le.
Definitely unique and a very pretty polish! Oh, and these pics are taken after a day of intense wood chopping and misc forest-y activities. Don’t you think the wear is impressive? Not a chip in sight!
What’s your favorite polish with hidden shimmer?
H&M are starting to get a rather large selection of gorgeous nail polish, and one of the polishes I picked up there this weekend was H&M I’m Not A Kiwi. This is a vibrant, but not neon, lime green. I’m thinking this is pretty similar to OPI Fiercely Fiona, but I don’t own that one to compare.
The formula is very nice, and it’s smooth and opaque in two coats. I really like the brush, it makes the polishing really easy, but the handle is short and chunky and may be a little awkward to hold.
As I said, I think this is pretty similar to Fiercely Fiona, but I only have Who The Shrek Are You to compare. From this bottle pic you can see that Kiwi is a bit more yellow than Shrek.
What do you think of these kind of strange, yellow-green colors? I’m starting to like these weird colors more and more.
Last weekend my husband and I were staying at my family’s summer place with my parents, my two sisters and their families. The weather wasn’t the best, so one of the days we decided to go for a drive to the nearest city for shopping. While we were there, I stopped by H&M, and of course I picked up a few of their awesome nail polishes.
Chica Boom Boom is a bright orange/red jelly. Going Bananas is a very nice pastel yellow with some beautiful hidden shimmer. No Mambo Jambo is a bright green with turquoise shimmer, and Moody Model is a dark teal jelly.
Here are some nail wheel swatches, in the same order as the above pic.
These are very nice and pigmented, are easy to apply and affordable at only NOK 39,50 a piece. H&M has a very wide selection of nail polish, so there should be something for everyone.
Have you tried any of H&M’s nail polishes?
2011 is here, and winter solstice has finally occured, that means that spring is not far away! Or at least one can pretend… There’s not much that reminds me of spring and summer today, in fact, the snow is deeper than ever. I can’t wait for spring, it’s my favorite time of year! I’m sick of the cold and dark, no sunlight and barely any daylight at all.
So I thought I could at least have something bright and fun on my nails, and H&M Blue My Mind is just the right medicine! It is a bright, almost neon, cornflower blue creme. This just makes me so happy, it’s simple, but oh so beautiful. A perfect slice of bright summer sky on this dark winter day.
This is very easy to apply, I won’t call the formula thick, just…firm, if that makes sense. It doesn’t run anywhere and goes exactly where I want it to go. Opaque in two coats. It is kinda matteish on its own, so if you want a high gloss, wear a topcoat.
I also decorated it with a Konad stamp from image plate m65, stamped with China Glaze Millennium.
Are you sick of winter yet? What do you do to cheer yourself up while waiting for the sun?
Have a nice day, everyone!
