More nailstation yummieness! Nailstation sea sexy is a blue-green shimmer packed with loads of silver microglitter. Who needs OPI Catch Me In Your Net or Zoya Charla when you have this baby?! I know they’re not dupes, but they are blue and sparkly, so they’re in the same vein. Very summery and fun!
It looks straight up blue in these pics, but in real life it’s a lot more green. My camera doesn’t like blues with green flash for some reason.
The formula is as usually perfect. It’s opaque in two coats, but I used three to give it more depth and saturation. It’s not necessary though.
What are your favorites for summer?
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!
Every time I pick up an untried nailstation polish, I think that this one has to be a dud. All of them can’t be fantastic polishes that glide on with no problems at all. Well, I’m wrong so far. Even this pretty light grey creme, nailstation dress code, is just divine to work with. Two coats, no problems at all. Perfection.
Obviously, the color isn’t the most exciting I have, but it’s simple, neutral and clean. It will make a great canvas for the Bundle Monster plates I recieved today, I just need some more practice first. I tried stamping this polish today, but I just made a big mess out of it.
I just wish they could sell nailstation polishes everywhere and not just in Dubai. They are just too good!
Thanks for looking, and remember to join my giveaway!
Have a nice day!
Hi everyone! I’m back, hope you haven’t missed me too much.
Today I have another nailstation polish, Haute Voltige. Now, I’ve tried to investigate a little about this brand, because I think it rocks! Both the formula, the finishes and the variety of colors are to die for, so I think it’s so strange that this line of polishes can’t be found in more places. According to their (quite lacking) website, these polishes is only sold in Mauritius, India, Qatar (although I can’t find out where) and UAE. Just check out their counter in Debenhams in Mall of The Emirates (Dubai), do you see why I almost started hyperventilating when I saw it?
Three shelves per wall times three walls chock full of nail polish, I was in heaven! So if you get a chance to lay your paws on a bottle of nailstation polish, don’t hesitate is what I’m sayin’. (I’m not associated with nailstation in any way, I just like it that’s all.)
Anyway, back to the polish of the day! Haute Voltige is a bright, sky blue creme, which leans ever so slightly towards turquoise. I know it’s a cliché, but I can’t stop looking at my nails with this one. Such a happy summer color, I love it! I don’t have any dupes for this in my collection, so no comparison shots.
The formula is just divine, glides on like butter. All the nailstations I’ve tried have the same awesome formula, so you can see why I love it so much. It’s also really really pigmented, you don’t really need more than one coat. I’m wearing two coats here, just to see if it was needed, but it wasn’t.
So that’s it for today! I don’t know how regularly I’ll update from now on, but I’ve decided to only blog when I really feel like it and when I’m excited about it, not when I feel like I have too. I hope that’s ok with you!
Have a nice day!
Another one from the Dubai haul, Nailstation Dolled-Up. I just love the names of these polishes, this is so fitting since it’s so close to “mannequin hands” on me. I think it will be come winter, when my tan has faded.
This is a pinkish-beige or nude creme, so simple yet so classy. I was so pleasantly surprised by how pigmented this one was, I was expecting a very sheer polish, but it’s actually opaque in one thick or two thin coats! Here I’m wearing two. (Please excuse the horrible cuticles, ugh!)
I really like this, and I think I’ll be wearing this a lot when I start working again and I need something neutral and unassuming.
I’ve been wanting a silver glitter for a while, and I finally found it in Dubai. Nailstation Diamond Wedding has heaps and heaps of silver glitter in a clear base, which is perfect for layering. I haven’t tried it on its own, mostly because I fear that the removal will be hell.
Let’s see it layered, shall we? Here it is over OPI Dating A Royal.
Ooooh, so sparkly! I love the blue and silver combo.
I also love how glitters look mattified, so I added a coat of Essie Matte About You.
What do you prefer, shiny or matte? What other colors would you layer this with?
