Just thought I’d let you know that I’m leaving for Qatar tomorrow! I’m going to visit my sister for 3 weeks, wooohooo! I’ve brought a small nail polish stash, so maybe I’ll be able to post some NOTDs while I’m there, but I can’t promise anything.
I can’t wait for sun, sea, shopping, great food and seeing old friends again! I wish all of my readers a happy November, and I’ll see you soon.
Today’s polish is the gorgeous Perle Rosée from Chanel. When I saw this in the store, I was mesmerized. I actually had to go back exclusively to buy this polish, because I liked it so much. Pretty strange, you might say, because it’s only a boring nude polish, right? Well, for me it’s the Holy Grail of nudes. It’s a beautiful, dusty pink shimmer, and it’s what you might call a YNBB (your nails but better).
These pics are taken indoors, first one without flash, the other with. This is two coats, no top or base coat. And the strangest thing is, when I’m in Norway I get bubbles in my polish if I as much as look at the bottle the wrong way. Here I just slap the polish on haphazardly, and nary a bubble in sight. What gives? Anyway, the formula of this is great, no streaking even though it’s a shimmer, and it dries in no time. Love!
Some of you might notice that my nails have grown mysteriously. No, I didn’t eat 1000 g of biotin and suddenly sprout nails over night, I got gel nails! My friend Jolene just started her nail salon, and I was her first client. I don’t know how long I’ll keep my nails this lenght, and I already filed them considerably after coming home from the salon (sorry, Jolene! ). It just feels weird, but I guess it’s just because I’m not used to having long nails. It will be fun having them for a little while, anyway, but I guess my polish remover will kill them soon. Haha! At least the gel will keep my own nails from breaking while they grow out.
Check out Jolenes salon if you’re ever in Mesaieed!
