NOTD: Color Club Pure Energy
Today’s NOTD is Color Club Pure Energy from Color Club’s Electro Candy collection. This is a bright blue neon with microshimmer flashes in green. It’s quite hard to capture this polish on pictures, it looks more greenish or turquoise in person. In my pictures it looks sky blue.
Anyway, the color is really great. When a polish makes me happy, it’s good in my book. This one reminds me of the ocean, and it’s a perfect summer polish. I think this would also look good with a konad print on top.
The formula is rather runny, but manageable. It covers ok in two coats, but it won’t hurt to add a third coat, as I can still see some visible nail line in some lights and angles. I can’t say anything about drying time, because I put Poshé fast drying top coat over it. (I love that top coat, by the way!) For this mani I used one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Brite, one coat of OPI Ridge Filler, two coats of CC Pure Energy and Poshé top coat.
Here are some pictures of the polish on the nails. First one is inside, no flash, second is inside with flash, third is outside in direct sunlight and the fourth is outside in the shade. (You can click on the pictures to embiggen. Yes, embiggen is a perfectly cromulent word!) Enjoy!
