A couple of weeks ago, I got a package full of pretties from the creator of Darling Diva Polish. I was very exited to try these, as I’ve never tried any DDP’s before. And I have to say, they did not disappoint!
I have five of her beautiful creations to show you today, so without further ado, let’s get on with the spam!
Darling Diva Polish Mannon
Mannon is a light sage green linear holographic with different shaped and sized holographic glitters. It’s inspired by the movie “The Craft”, and it represents Mannon, the ancient serpent god. I don’t think I’ve seen a glitter/holo combo before, so this is very interesting and unique.
Mannon was easy to apply, and I had no problems getting the glitters on the nails. It’s very sheer, so if you want to preserve it, you could layer it over a darker base color. I used four coats for full coverage here.
Darling Diva Polish Drag Queen
Drag Queen is a pinkish-red jelly which has different sized gold holographic glitter.
Also a very nice formula on this one, and I used three coats for opacity.
Darling Diva Polish Baby Got Back
Baby Got Back has a light purple jelly base and purple metallic and lilac holographic glitters, also blue/purple color shifting iridescent glitters. Because it’s very sheer, I decided to layer it over OPI Dim Sum Plum. This would look awesome over a lot of different colors!
The formula on this one was on the thickish side, but it still spreads evenly and easily on the nail. I’ve used one coat of BGB over OPI DSP.
Darling Diva Polish Mitochondrial Eve
Mitochondrial Eve is from the Battlestar Galactica inspired collection, and it’s a mix of green glitters, blues, golds, reds, hexes and squares in a clear base. This is meant to be a topcoat, so I layered it over Orly Enchanted Forest.
Because of the sheer amount of glitter, this polish is also quite thick, but I still had no problems applying the polish evenly on the nails. One coat packs a great punch!
Darling Diva Polish Witchy Woman
Witchy Woman has a lot of multi colored rainbow glitters plus blue holographic glitters in a sheer black jelly base. I couldn’t get this opaque on its own, so I layered it over GOSH Nero.
Again, a very good formula. I used one generous coat over GOSH Nero, and it’s also very easy to apply and disperses the glitters evenly and easily.
I really like these polishes, and I’m glad I got the opportunity to try them out. DDP has a lot of interesting polishes available, so I bet everyone will find something they like in this brand.
Darling Diva Polish is sold on Etsy, and the glitters are $8 a bottle while the holos are $12 a bottle.
